SYLC members spend time each year planning, creating and implementing media advocacy campaigns to create change and start conversations about issues that are important to them. 

 

We work with local filmmakers, photographers, graphic designers and other experts (and sometimes get behind the camera ourselves!) to create materials, videos, posters, PSAs, ads, and more that will resonate with other teens in Sitka and Alaska. 

 

Throughout the year, we spread the word through presentations, media, and events. Our goal is to show the huge difference that youth advocacy can make in ensuring a safe and respectful community.
